October 1st - Christian's Day

As promised, today is the first day of my Blogging through the Pain in October posts. I am really hoping this daily expression will help me focus on the good throughout the month.

Happy 6th Celebration of Life to Christian Erin Desjarlais!! I posed the question as to what to call this day for Christian on our FB page this morning. Got some awesome responses so far. Like Christian's Lifeday! You see this is the last day I knew I was pregnant with him. It was early in my pregnancy and I had no expectations there would be anything wrong. I had a successful pregnancy with Matthew and expected the same. Within days of Oct 1st, I was spotting and on my way to miscarrying my little baby. It was a hard miscarriage {like there are any different kinds}that took the entire month to complete. Week after week of going to the hospital for blood tests and back home to wait the results.

I woke up cautiously optimistic about the month ahead and ready to embrace whatever is to come.

 So here we go!!
